New POE Mid-Span Injectors

Protek5 Systems Ltd. is pleased to announce our newest product line of POE Mid-span Injectors. The PTPI series provides an easy to use injector designed to connect to a standard “off the shelf” power supply or “wall wart”.

The PTPI series is a simple and cost effective way to provide POE power to the PD. Products range from IEEE802.3af complaint solutions (for applications up to 13 watts) all the way up to 70+ watt “brute force” solutions for proprietary networks. Network System capabilities should be considered for power levels above 35 watts. Non-standard products are also available to meet our customers’ specific requirements.

This series is available as standard Pro-Tek5 product or can be manufactured with our customers’ logo and part number applied to create a unique item for our customers to market as their own product. For custom logo and part number applications a small, one time, tooling charge will be applied.

New 5KV Ethernet Isolator with ESD Protection

Pro-Tek5 Systems, Ltd. today announced a new series of Ethernet Isolators. This new PTE-5T series provides the same proven 5KV isolation found in the PTI-45 series while adding the ESD protection that complies with IEC 61000-4-2 for 15KV (air) and 8kV (contact) Electrostatic Discharge.

ESD is a serious issue in solid state electronics and integrated circuits, such as Phys and Ethernet Controller chips. Integrated circuits can suffer permanent damage when subjected to high voltages. The Pro-Tek5 PTE-5T series provides the necessary protection for sensitive communication equipment.

This series is available in both 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet versions and is designed for operating temperatures of -10C to +85C.

Samples are available (on a loan basis) from stock to 3 week lead time. Production units are available with 5-7 week lead time. Pro-Tek5 Announces 2 New Lightning Strike Protectors

Protek5 Systems is pleased to announce 2 new series of GR1089 compliant lightning strike protectors. These new products include the PTG-2T series which provides both differential and common mode Intra-building protection and the PTG-5T series which provides full GR1089 Inter-building lightning strike protection as well as 5KV isolation. Both series have been fully tested for compliance to the lightning surge requirements of GR1089.

These new protector series utilize the same small in-line package as our original series. Easy installation can be performed by the user in just a few seconds.

Evaluation units are available in 2-4 weeks while production units are available with a lead time of 5-6 weeks.
